I’m so glad I got to escape down to Indianapolis for INChaserCon. It was a great weekend full of awesome people, great sights, things I love and some photography of course. I need to start out by saying thanks to everyone I met, partied, talked with and of course mike for sharing the hotel room.
I drove from Saginaw to Indianapolis on Friday (the 8th), meeting up with Mike Smith at our hotel on the northwest side of town. We hung out for a bit, and after texting with Kim Howell we went over to her hotel to meet up with her and some others, eat some food and have a few drinks. We ducked out a bit early, and everyone else went to Waffle House to end the night.
I didn’t sleep until about 7:30, then completely ignored the alarm an hour later; so long story short we didn’t get to INchasercon until about 10:30 or 11. We walked in just after a presentation ended and there was a break for lunch. At this point, myself/Kim/Mike walked over to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, shooting some pictures along the walk then eventually jumping on a bus for some more shots around the track. Below are some shots of one of the most famous motorsports landmarks in the world!
After that was over, we went back to the convention, finished up with the last few presentations, and everyone conversed for a bit. It was great catching up with so many i had already met, and meeting many new faces. Tons of friends and people from across the midwest meeting up to just have a good time and discuss what they love most.
Following the convention, me and Mike went back to the hotel, then I left to pick up Bill (who actually stayed right across the road from us) to go downtown. Again, many great conversations, times and memories. I’ll leave the stories out, for personal protection reasons hahaha!
Sunday came too fast, and it was time to begin the road home. However, it was a decent day out so me and mike followed each other back up most of central Indiana, stopping at numerous locations to shoot some pictures. A few cemetaries, Mounds State Park, and the Cumberland Covered Bridge were the main attractions, then I split off to return home as Mike stayed down for a few more hours to take some more shots. Here’s some of my favorite shots from Sunday:
